Here is the nursery before. Just not a baby's room right?
If you take this room and add two rolls of painters tape, one and half gallons of lemon souffle paint, three coats, two days and two sore hands you get this:
It isn't done yet, but the major work is over with. We still have the armoir to move in and get new knobs for as well as adding shelves to the other wall and hopefully something fun for the wall above the crib. Any suggestions?
What I have learned in the process: Use a roller with a lot of nap and soak it to avoid a million coats. Don't use painters tape on a ceiling, it might need some touch ups after. Use an exacto knife when removing the tape to avoid peeling. Most importantly, do not do this at nine months pregnant, your balance on a ladder is not too good and you will be too sore to make it to church the next day!

15 Quick Thoughts:
Never in ten million years would I have thought to paint the walls yellow. It looks gorgeous!
Good job. Lemme know if you need any more help!!
XOXO
Beautiful! It's amazing what a difference paint makes. It transformed the room and made the baseboards pop. It looks so good! You must be so tired. My only suggestion for the wall above the crib is nothing within their reach. My girls would end up with all kinds of surprises in their bed because they'd play around and pull stuff off the wall. I should have known better. A mural would be cool but I don't know if that's still an "in" thing to do. We did miss you at church, but completely understand. I would have stayed home too if I were you.
It turned out so cute! i see alot of people hanging their kid's names above the crib...or anything feminine, butterflies, etc. How fun to decorate for a girl!
I love that Lemon whatever color. LOVE IT!
hahahah very cute! love it. the bedding is adorable. above the bed..... when u guys finally decide its going to be brooklyn (haha) u should get the wooden letters and put those above her crib, did those in both my boys rooms and i love it
It looks awesome! You have the best taste Rach! Please decorate for me with my next child.
Totally beautiful :) I agree with Amy- "Brooklyn" in cute wooden letters would be perfect!
That looks great! Girls are so fun!!! kellyn
Yay, you are getting ready!!! I am going to be out there the 4th-9...have her soon so I can meet her!!!
I Love her room! I agree letters would be cute...you can buy them at micheals and then paint them the perfect sahde to match her bedding. but I suggest doing her initials inside a giant polk-a-dot...just an idea. I think it would tie in the polk-a-dot bedding,(very cute, by the way!)
there is a picture sort of what I am pictureing if you go to pottery barns website and look at the sophie nursery, but initials or her name I think would be cuter, and cheaper than the giant saftey pin.
see ya soon!!!
Darling!!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE the bedding!
I think this is one of my favorite Nursery rooms I have ever seen. SO adorable. Nice work!
soo cute rach! i love the color!
So cute! I say put her name above the crib in wood letters hung with ribbons. You will be great with two kids. I think you are smart to have given yourself a bigger gap than I did. Trevin and Chase are 2 years apart, and I guess I anticipated that all my children would be like my first, and it isn't that way. I think a 3 year gap is nice. So exciting! I love the excitement of labor! I want to see the rest of your place.
It looks fantastic! I love the color--lemon souffle--makes me hungry! :) She is going to be one spoiled little girl! Sorry I couldn't help out with it!
Cutest room... LOVE it!!!
