Spooky Times

So first off, Micah had a Hero Presentation last week.  He chose his dad as his hero.  OK, so I was a little on the jealous side.  What can you expect?  I think my favorite part had to be when he said that he loved his dad "more than Hot wheels and peaches" which, if you know him, is a big deal!
For Family Night we got some fun Halloween activities in.  Brooklyn helped me unwrap the caramels to dip apples.
Then we started up the pumpkin carving.  That is one of those activities you think can be a family thing, but really it's more like "hey kids, what shape do you want it in?"  "OK, let me sweat while I carve it for you and you watch."
B helped pull out guts so we could bake up the seeds.
Micah helped decorate the caramel dipped apples.
 With mini chocolate chips.
 The pumpkins turned out cute!
 Brooklyn with her witch.
Micah and his Vampkin (that would be a vampire pumpkin).  By the end of the night, I had over cooked the caramel for the apples, so they were nearly impossible to eat and the timer stopped working for the pumpkin seeds, so they burned, but the kids had fun, the pumpkins turned out and the pictures are cute!
The night before Halloween, we did a quick trip to the mall to get a costume for Micah's bear so he would match.  This is how we roll.
Halloween was all sorts of crazy!  First thing in the morning, Micah's school had a parade.
Here he is with his class.  He is in the lower right corner.
This is him with his friends and his matching bear Racer.
Next up was Brooklyn's school party.  She only participated for a second and then she was over it.
Then she did this for the rest of the show.
That night, we met up with cousin Gavin at Grandma and Grandpa's house and trick or treated!
 My LAPD man.
A pink princess (she spilled smoothie on the purple one, thank goodness for backups!)
We had to trick or treat from grandma first!
At the end, they enjoyed their spoils.
Yummy!

Such cute pictures! I am always so glad when Halloween is over. It is super fun during the fun but such a relief to be done.
